Marquina Spain - one of the oldest ancestral seats of a family bearing the last name Urkide was established in Marquina, The Spaniard who gave us his last name was most likely a Basque from the town of Marquina.

PROPOSED PROJECTS:

1. Have an Urquidez family representative go to Marquina Spain to locate the Urquike (Urquidez) family source. The family relative to take pictures and to leave an Urquidez Placard stating that we recognize Marquina as the birthplace of the Urquidez family

2. Start a family tree for each branch of the Urquidez family

3. Start a list of famous or infamous Urquidez family members

4. Memoirs of the old Urquidez family members.
